Billing

Costs of Psychotherapy – Private & Self-Pay

For various reasons, I have decided not to seek a statutory health insurance contract. My range of services goes far beyond what is covered by statutory health insurers. The services in my practice are therefore directed at privately insured/supplementary insured patients as well as self-pay patients. Billing through statutory health insurance is not possible.

Billing according to GOÄ (Psychosomatic Medicine)

The costs of psychotherapy are calculated according to the German Medical Fee Schedule (Gebührenordnung für Ärzte / GOÄ). The basis for billing is the medical and psychotherapeutic services provided in the field of Psychosomatic Medicine.

Billing is transparent and traceable based on the applicable GOÄ codes for psychosomatic and psychotherapeutic services. The amount of costs depends, among other things, on the type, duration and scope of the respective session.

I am happy to inform you during the initial consultation about which services are planned and what costs you can approximately expect.

Notes on Reimbursement

Private Health Insurance

With private health insurers and government aid offices (Beihilfestellen), (partial) reimbursement is often possible. Whether and to what extent the costs are covered depends on your individual insurance contract.

Please clarify this directly with your insurer before beginning treatment.

Advantages for Self-Pay Patients

  • No applications required
  • No disclosure of diagnoses to insurers
  • Flexible arrangement of treatment duration and frequency
  • Discreet and independent treatment

Important Notice

I cannot guarantee reimbursement by private health insurers or government aid offices. Billing is independent of reimbursement by third parties. The content and goal of treatment are based on individual concerns and do not constitute a guarantee of cure.
